Various Artists "The Shape Of Things To Come 2" (UR198) Digital Exclusive Release

Ubiquity presents The Shape of Things to Come, Volume II. This is the second in our quarterly compilation series available exclusively as a digital-download. This release will not be available in stores, anywhere.

The Shape of Things to Come, Volume II includes a mix of 100% exclusive unreleased tracks mixed with a handful of recent releases previously only available on vinyl. It's the exclusive outlet for remixes and edits and will heavily highlight upcoming tracks, especially from artists new to our roster. We believe in them - we want to make sure you hear 'em! So much so that for the first week of availability the compilation can be downloaded at a huge discount and possibly for free, depending on the digital service you prefer.

Ubiquity believes strongly in the preservation of vinyl culture, so no entire 12" singles will be available for download anywhere. Download the tracks, enjoy the music, spread the word...

Tracks on this compilation include:

1. Breakestra "Hiding" (Quantic Soul Orchestra Remix) - Taken from Breakestra's "Hiding EP" and features Miles Tackett on vocals and Quantic Soul Orchestra adding a classic soul re-rub. The original version of "Hiding" can be found on Breakestra's 2005 album "Hit The Floor" on Ubiquity Records.

2. Nino Moschella "Didn't You See Her" - This southern-fried psychedelic soul jam is an exclusive from Nino Moschella's forthcoming debut album "The Fix"! Playing all the instruments and singing his own songs, his 1st single earned comparisons to Stevie Wonder and Sly Stone.

3. PPP "The Bounce" - An exclusive bonus track from PPP's limited-edition instrumentals album currently available only on vinyl from Ubiquity. Check out PPP's critically-acclaimed 2005 debut "Triple P".

4. Owusu & Hannibal "Delirium" (Morgan Geist Tongues Remix) - Taken from Owusu and Hannibal's "Delirium" single which also features a remix by Up Hygh. Picked by URB Magazine as one of their "Next 100", the Danish duo will see their debut album released on Ubquity Records in Fall 2006.

5. NOMO "Divisions" - Taken from NOMO's new album "New Tones" which will be released in May, 2006 on Ubiquity. Catch the band touring with His Name Is Alive this summer. For more information check out www.nomomusic.com.

6. The Bamboos "Step It Up" - The opening track from The Bamboos' debut album "Step It Up" features vocalist Alice Russell known for her work with Quantic, Nostalgia 77, TM Juke and her own solo albums on Tru Thoughts.

7. Radio Citizen "Blackforest" - A new tune from Niko Schabel who has also recorded as Radio City (the superb tune "The Hop" was released by Ubiquity in 2005 and EP #1 was released in early 2006). Look for his debut album in the fall, 2006 on Ubiquity.

8. Mary Love "Born To Live With Heartache" - Taken from Luv N'Haight's 50th release, "Bay Area Funk 2" which also marks the label's 15 Year Anniversary. Be sure to also check out the original "Bay Area Funk" released in 2003.

9. Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra "We Can Turk It Out" - A brand-new EXCLUSIVE track from Shawn Lee's Ping Pong Orchestra, unavailable anywhere else. Shawn Lee has recorded 3 Ping Pong library records to date for Ubiquity from 2004-2006. His latest, "Strings & Things" was released in early 2006.

10. Nino Moschella "If You Believe" (Get It Girl Remix feat. SA-RA) - A heavy remix by SA-RA Creative Partners taken from Nino Moschella's vinyl-only "The Real Better Believe EP" released on Ubiquity in early 2006. Cosmic soul indeed.
