released in 1958 this is a highly collectible piece of Latin jazz.
Bobby Montez recorded just 5 records in his career, all impossible
to find--this one especially hard as it was his first and best.
The original album is flawed by a constant hiss that runs throughout
the record. Fortunately we have had the album cleaned up and remastered
so that it sounds clear and crisp for the first time ever! “Kon
Tiki” (listed as a recent favorite in Straight No Chaser
by Rainer Truby) and “African Fantasy” are two classic
jazz dance cuts. We have included all the original artwork. So
why spend $200-$300 on a hissy original when you can pick up the
perfect new copy for a few bucks?
